Facilitators
GOPA has been recruiting, training and co-ordinating volunteer facilitators who can listen and talk to older people in their community, with the aim of learning, amongst other things, what services they might in future wish to see offered in their local area. We now have 12 facilitators covering the county but need additional support for Stroud District. If you possess the following qualities, then this could be a very interesting and rewarding role for you:
- Sympathetic, effective listener
- Ability to feedback views in a clear, concise manner
- Good local knowledge
- Ability to use initiative in seeking out new opportunities for engaging with older people
- Effective team-working skills (Facilitators will work in pairs)
- Over 50 You will receive appropriate training and will be fully supported by GOPA.
