This is the website of the Office of the Public Guardian which supports decision- making for those who lack capacity or would like to plan for their future.

Making arrangements for yourself: which explain what to do if you want to choose somebody you trust to make decisions on your behalf about your finance, property, health or welfare.  Further links give details of

·        Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA): explains what it is, who can make one and the different types of LPA – property and affairs and personal welfare.

·        How to make a Lasting Power of Attorney

·        Enduring Power of Attorney (has been replaced by the LPA) – information if you already have an Enduring Power of Attorney (EPA) which now must be registered, including how to revoke one.

Information if you have concerns about another person:
